Yanmen Scenic Area, located within the territory of Rongjiang Township, is one of the four major scenic areas of Xiandu Scenic and Historic Interest Area. The area is characterized by towering peaks, deep valleys splitting the sky, ancient temples with the sound of chanting, and is known for its misty peach blossom source-like beauty.
Geologically, the scenic area belongs to the Danxia landform, with a uniqueness akin to Mount Wuyi. It is said that at the end of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Shun, a policy advisor, toured the entire Yanmen area of Tianzhu Mountain and stayed at Qizhen Temple for five days, selecting Yanmen’s scenery as: Ancient Cave Dwelling Clouds, Flat Stone Meditation, Brocade Pond Reflecting Moon, Stone Turtle Listening to Scriptures, Yanmen Locking Green, Crown Rock Weaving, Hat Peak Wearing Rain, and Tianzhu Zhuo Xi. The main attractions include Qizhen Temple, Zhang Shan Village, Yanmen, Tianzhu Rock, and Hua Rock.
