In Fangyan, Yongkang City, there is an old street more than three li long. This is the famous ‘Yanxia Street’. The old street was originally a path in the valley and by the Fangyan Stream. The village on the roadside is named ‘Yanxia Village’ because of the Fangyan Mountain rising abruptly opposite. When houses and shops are built on both sides of the path, the path becomes ‘Yanxia Street’. The old street is only two or three meters wide.

In the middle, it was originally paved with bluestone slabs, and on both sides are inlaid with pebbles. There is also a drainage ditch at the junction with the building platform. Except for a small section in the south that turns west and leads to the entrance of Fangyan Mountain, the rest of the old street is basically north-south oriented and runs all the way along the foot of the mountain and the pit entrance.

A small section on the north side of Lion Mountain belongs to Chenglu Village. On the waterside, there are continuous stone railings and several small shops selling local specialties. The words ‘Donated by pilgrims’ are engraved on the stone railings. A series of hotels such as Cheng Tongchang, Cheng Yuanchang, Cheng Hongchang, Cheng Longchang, and Cheng Qianchang are located side by side on the west side of the old street.

The opening hours are subject to the opening status on the day.
