Fushan Grand Canyon, formed 60 million years ago by the collapse of granitic porphyry massifs, is a modern periglacial landform and geological remnant of mountain collapse and earth fissure. It is currently the largest and well-preserved remnant of mountain collapse and earth fissure in the East China region. The canyon’s smooth and sheer surfaces resemble those carved by axes and knives, and the vertical descent into the valley via ladders is thrilling; the valley is deep and winding, often rumored to hide rare gems within. Within the Fushan Grand Canyon tourist area, there are magical rocks, mysterious caves, Fushan sea of clouds, and forest waterfalls. The area is characterized by towering mountains and perennial streams. Due to the collapse, mineral exposure is evident, allowing visitors to admire the representation of China’s seven fortune gods and mythical creatures in rock carvings. The cultural theme of a ‘Journey of Wealth’ is deeply meaningful as one explores and seeks treasures along the way.
