Suzhou Shihu Park is located on the southwest suburban area of Suzhou, seven kilometers away from the ancient city, known for its Wu and Yue relics and the pastoral scenery of the Jiangnan water town. It boasts numerous ancient temples, pagodas, tombs, and the retirement homes of Song Dynasty pastoral poets such as Fan Chengda.

The scenic area mainly consists of Shihu Resort, Scenic Tour Area, Film and Television Cultural Area, and Ethnic Cuisine Area. The famous scenic spot in Shihu is ‘Shihu Chuan Yue’, originating from the Nine Holes Bridge (Xingchun Bridge) on the lake. The holes are connected, and their reflections are seen in the water. Every year on the 18th day of the eighth lunar month, when the bright moon is in the sky, each of the nine circular holes reflects a moon shadow in the lake water, forming a ‘Nine Moons in a Row’ spectacle, which is incredibly beautiful.

Barbecue and boat rides are available within the scenic area. The park is open all year round from 06:30 to 22:00 daily.
