The Shengen Buddhist Temple was originally built during the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty and was formerly known as Tianshou Temple. During the Baoyou period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Shengen Temple was built again. The two coexist and are called Tianshou Shengen Buddhist Temple as upper and lower dharma halls. Currently, there are still ancient buildings such as stone archways, the Great Buddha Hall, the Sutra Depository, and the dining hall in the temple. It is a temple with relatively complete existing structure and magnificent scale. Currently, the abbot of the temple has been passed down to Master Rongzong, and there have been more than fifty generations.
