The Nanjing Science and Technology Museum is divided into four main areas: the Exhibition and Film Area, the Youth Activity Area, the Tea Garden Viewing Area, and the Wetland Leisure Area.
The main body of the museum consists of a permanent exhibition hall, a temporary exhibition hall, and a conference and exchange lecture hall.

The permanent exhibition hall breaks away from traditional concepts and is divided into four floors based on the themes of heaven, earth, and humanity.

It features five major thematic exhibition areas and a public safety education exhibition hall: Universe Exploration, Wisdom Masters, Earthly Phenomena, Creation World, Children’s Science and Technology Paradise.

Among the more than 300 exhibits in the exhibition area, 70% are participatory projects, allowing visitors to personally experience the unique feelings brought by science and to appreciate the charm of science and the hidden power of enhancing youth intelligence.


Here, visitors can enjoy performances such as the ‘Thousand-Hand Guanyin’ and ‘Sports Gymnastics’ by humanoid robots, as well as dance performances by hexapod and wheel robots; experience the thrill and joy of simulated driving and simulated flying; and understand the scientific mysteries behind phenomena like high-voltage discharge and ‘angry hair’, achieving an educational and entertaining effect.


In addition, there are IMAX dome theaters, 3D/4D cinemas, and animated children’s theaters.


Opening hours are from Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00 all year round; closed all day on Monday and Tuesday; open from 09:00-17:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
