The Yujiguan was completed and opened in April 2008. It is a special exhibition reflecting the life and legends of Dayu. In the foyer, on the front of the huge screen is a relief of ‘Dayu controlling floods’, which is vivid and impressive.

The main exhibition is divided into two parts. One is ‘Dayu in Shaoxing’, which consists of two parts: Shaoxing’s traces of Dayu and Shaoxing’s canons of Dayu, showing the special relationship between Shaoxing and Dayu and the general situation of sacrificial ceremonies to Dayu in past dynasties. The other part is ‘Exhibition of Dayu’s historical sites’, which consists of three parts: hero of flood control, founder of the country and son of China. It reflects Dayu’s two great achievements of flood control and founding the country and the memory of later generations for him.

Opening hours: open from 08:00 to 17:00 from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year; closed all day on Monday and Tuesday throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
