Xiaotianzhu is located at the western foot of Ziwei Mountain in Fengqiao Town, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province. It is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit and a famous tourist attraction. Xiaotianzhu was built in 1534. It was originally the villa of Lu Can, a recluse. His son, Luo Wenli (deputy inspector of Huguang), renovated it. The whole building is based on cut rocks and is built according to the mountain terrain.
Among them, the ‘Jianda Pavilion’ is relatively famous. In front of the pavilion, there is a stele corridor. The wall is inlaid with inscriptions written by Chen Hongshou, Zhu Zhishan, Wen Zhengming, Dong Qichang, and Wang Shouren. On the rock wall of the pool, the words ‘Haiyan’ and ‘Chenliu gargles stones’ are inscriptions by Hai Rui himself. In the ‘Fengshui Famous Sages Square’, biographies and historical records of famous people in Fengqiao such as Wang Mian, Yang Weizhen, Chen Hongshou, He Wenqing, He Songhua, and He Xiehou are displayed.
