After the Southern Song Dynasty relocated its capital, Taizhou, known as a ‘famous and supportive prefecture’, attracted the royal and nobles to settle here. From the virtuous prime minister of the Southern Song Dynasty, Lu Yihao, to the poet and prime minister, Wang Zhiwang, Taizhou Prefecture momentarily displayed a scene where ‘famous officials from the central plains gathered in the prefecture’ and ‘seven prime ministers resided in Taizhou’. Nobles, literati, and artists gathered in Taizhou Prefecture to strategize and contribute ideas for birthday celebrations; skilled craftsmen, foreign envoys, and people from all walks of life gathered here to create a secret color dragon and phoenix vase for the birthday of the empress from Linhai, Xie Daoqing. The immersive performance show ‘Seeking Mei Pu Song Charm’ uses the method of ‘dance painting’ to recreate the scenery of ‘thousands of peaks with emerald green’, combining holographic projection, 3D large-scale dynamic murals, and light and shadow shows with Song Dynasty aesthetics to create a visual feast. Through situational performances, instrumental and dance performances, and acrobatics and flexibility, the plot is gradually pushed forward and leads to a climax. The stage technology laser lights combined with dance performances recreate the porcelain-making process. Randomly unlock the ongoing stories of the Southern Song Dynasty within the scene, immerse yourself in the Song Dynasty life, and enjoy the intangible cultural heritage pastries that replicate the Song Dynasty banquets, taste the flavors of a thousand years, and feel the charm of the ancients. Open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-22:00; closed all day on Mondays.
