China Lantern Museum is located within the Lantern Park and serves as a specialized institution for the collection, preservation, research, and exhibition of Chinese lanterns. The overall architecture is designed with the lantern theme, resembling a grand set of palace lanterns from a distance, presenting an undulating and dazzling spectacle. During the Spring Festival, a lantern fair is held here, attracting numerous tourists and locals to admire the splendid and beautiful lighting.
The exhibition hall is divided into four main sections: the Prologue Hall, the Chinese Lantern History Hall, the Chinese and Foreign Lantern Customs Hall, and the Zigong Lantern Boutique Hall. The displayed lanterns range from ancient pottery lamps to modern colored lanterns utilizing sound, light, and electrical technologies, offering a comprehensive collection.Opening hours: From January 1 to December 31, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:30; closed on Mondays throughout the year; on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, 09:00-16:30.
