Yuyan Village belongs to Sixi Town. It is a consanguineous village where the Bao family lives together. The ancestor of the Bao family in Yuyan, Guishan, is originally from Zhulou, Pingyang. In 1275 (the first year of Deyou in the Song Dynasty), he moved to Yuyan. There are ancient sites such as Bao’s Ancestral Hall, covered bridges, and Yuyan inscriptions in the village. Among them, Bao’s Ancestral Hall is very rare in the province in terms of scale and layout and is widely known. Bao’s Ancestral Hall was originally built in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. Covering an area of 2200 square meters, it is composed of archways, outer gates, lotus ponds, front gates, front halls, and main halls. The ancestral hall adopts a central axis symmetrical layout. It is quite large in scale, exquisite in craftsmanship, and has high comprehensive cultural relic value. The specific business hours and operating status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
