The Sacred Hall is located in Jiashan County, near the Wu Fu Bridge, and was originally constructed in the third year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was formerly known as ‘Pang Gong Ci’, a temple dedicated to the worship of Pang Shangpeng, who was a patrol inspector. Guan Yu, known as the Martial Saint, is revered alongside Confucius, the Civil Saint, as eternal models for all ages, hence the name ‘The Sacred Hall’. The hall is structured as a three-enclosure courtyard, with deities enshrined inside that are not strictly differentiated by Taoism or Buddhism. During the beginning of the year, the Sacred Hall attracts numerous merchants who gather here to offer a variety of snacks, New Year paintings, and toys, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Local residents, young and old, come to the hall to pray for blessings, enjoy snacks, or buy toys for their children, making it a lively and bustling place. The specific opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
