The Miaozhan Tower is located on Putuo Luojia Mountain. The tower is square-shaped, 27.6 meters high, and the side length of the base is 16.3 meters. The tower has three levels and is similar to the Duobao Pagoda, but it is taller and more majestic than the Duobao Pagoda. On the first level of the Miaozhan Tower, on the south side, there are 60 arhats paying homage to Pilu Guanyin. On the west side, 58 arhats pay homage to Jingshui Guanyin. On the north side, 58 arhats roam around the scenic spots of Putuo. On the east side, 60 arhats pay homage to Aoyu Guanyin. On the second level of the tower, on the south side, there are 18 arhats making a pilgrimage to Guanyin. On the west side, there is a relief sculpture of 44 arhats gathering at the South Heavenly Gate. On the north side, 36 arhats pay homage to Zizhu Guanyin. On the third level of the tower, on the south side, the Four Sea Dragon Kings and 48 arhats pay homage to Guanyin. On the west side, 32 arhats have a get-together and listen to Guanyin preaching in the Western Paradise. On the north side, 36 arhats gather at the Ancient Fanyin Cave. On the east side, 28 arhats pay homage to Ruyi Guanyin. There is an incense-burning path around the tower on three sides. Remember to walk around the tower clockwise. In this way, you will receive the blessings of Bodhisattvas.
