He was a soul figure in the Hong Kong music scene, a genius songwriter whose creations are countless, forging a brilliant era and serving as the spiritual pillar of the 80s. BEYOND is a band that marked an era, playing the notes of that time. Many people say they miss Wong Ka Kui for the sentiment it evokes. The Aurora Band, the only band in China recognized by the famous Hong Kong musician and BEYOND’s lyricist, Mr. Liu Zhuohui, as a tribute to BEYOND, collaborated with Mr. Liu Zhuohui in 2021 for a Cantonese golden song tour in Shenzhen and Shenyang. Mr. Liu Zhuohui has affirmed and highly praised the band’s performance quality and professional Cantonese singing. From 2017 to 2022, the Aurora Band has completed dozens of concerts with over ten thousand attendees in major theaters across the country, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Beijing, Shenyang, Xi’an, Changsha, and Shandong, making them the most representative and powerful live band in China that carries on BEYOND’s music.
