Located to the east of Overseas Chinese Town, the Garden Expo Park boasts convenient transportation. It was once the venue for the 5th China International Garden and Flower Expo and is currently a free theme park. The park covers a vast area, and it takes several hours to walk around casually, making it suitable for families to leisurely enjoy the beauty of gardens and for morning exercise. As the name suggests, the Garden Expo Park replicates gardens from around the world. Visitors can not only see exotic plants from all over the globe but also various architectural styles and sculptures that complement each other without being pretentious. The park has four main gates, located in the southeast, southwest, northwest, and northeast. The southwest side is concentrated with domestic garden attractions, while the northeast side features international ones, allowing visitors to enter based on their preferences. These garden works mostly reflect local styles, with each courtyard having its unique characteristics. Strolling through the park, one can see replicas of famous domestic landscapes such as Longzhong Dui, Huoshui Garden, and Shilin, as well as Hui-style architecture with white walls and black tiles, poetic Jiangnan gardens, and renowned Lingnan garden landscapes. In the northern part of the park, there are exotic features like the Indonesian garden’s monster stone sculptures, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of world gardens without traveling far. When visiting the Garden Expo Park, there is no need to adhere to a specific route or rush; one can simply walk and explore at their own pace. There are many secluded paths within the park, especially pleasant to walk in after the rain. Notably, near the north gate of the park, there is an eight-story Fufu Tower, with the character ‘Fu’ (meaning ‘blessing’) engraved on all four walls. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the tower to overlook the entire Garden Expo Park and enjoy the scenery of Shenzhen Bay. In addition to the gardens, the park also houses a Dinosaur Pavilion, where one can see dinosaur fossils and simulation models from around the world. This is an excellent place for children to learn about science. The park is open all year round from 06:00 to 23:00; specific opening hours are subject to the on-site notice at the scenic area. Additional information on preferential policies: 1. Admission is free with the presentation of a valid ID card.
