Yangtaishan Forest Park is located in Bao’an District. Centered around the main peak of Yangtai Mountain, it forms a topography with high in the middle and low on all sides. The park is rich in water sources, with 5 medium and small reservoirs and more than 20 mountain spring streams. It is the source of many rivers in Shenzhen and also the upstream water source of multiple reservoirs. During the Anti-Japanese War, this was also the base of the guerrilla Dongjiang Column.
They rescued many people from the cultural field and patriotic democrats and safely transferred them to the mountainous area of Yangtai Mountain for a successful rescue, so it is also of great revolutionary significance. The park is rich in wild animal and plant resources. There are 8 species of animals and plants under national key protection. The forest landscape resources of the park are beautiful. ‘Yangtai’s Greenery in Layers’ has been rated as one of the ‘Eight Scenes of Shenzhen’. Every year, the Yangtai Mountain Climbing Festival is held, attracting many climbing enthusiasts. It is a free lung-washing paradise for Shenzhen citizens. At present, there are mainly two climbing entrances. One is from the main entrance, Dalang Entrance Square. The road is relatively tortuous. Along the way, the plants are dense. You can also see the Yangtai Mountain waterfall. It takes about three or four hours to climb to the top. The other is from the Yangtai Mountain Square in Shiyan. Go up from the Yangtai Mountain archway and keep going up along the stone steps. You can see many buildings in Jiangnan style. It only takes one or two hours to reach the top.
