Qingliang Temple, originally known as ‘Xingjiao Temple’, was built in the early tenth century and served as the summer retreat for the Li royal family of the Southern Tang Dynasty. It was later renamed to ‘Qingliang Dadichang’ and then ‘Qingliang Guanghui Chan Temple’ during the Song Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, it became known as ‘Qingliang Temple’. After several periods of destruction and reconstruction, the temple now consists of a three-bay hall and five houses for monks’ living quarters. It is open year-round from 06:00 to 18:00, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
