The Guangzhou Voluntary Tree Planting Park is the first national voluntary tree planting park in China. It is located on the east side of Kaitai Avenue and the north side of Kaiyuan Avenue in the Science City of Guangzhou Development District. The 1,350-mu Guangzhou Voluntary Tree Planting Park was formerly a litchi forest, so the slopes are all old litchi trees. The entire park is high in the north and low in the south, surrounded by mountains and rivers.

It is divided into two parts: the landscape tree planting area and the leisure tour area. The two areas are integrated and complement each other. The construction of the waterscape of the Guangzhou Voluntary Tree Planting Park is formed by excavating, filling and stacking in the ravines according to the mountain situation. The terrain is used to collect mountains and rivers to the central lake, forming an ecological landscape of brook waterfalls and jungle trestle bridges.

The lotus in the 60,000-square-meter artificial lake in the park is in full bloom. On land, trees such as Ficus microcarpa, mahogany, Cassia surattensis, Lagerstroemia indica, Koelreuteria bipinnata, Delonix regia, Bischofia javanica, Liquidambar formosana, Callistemon rigidus, Cinnamomum parthenoxylon, and Metasequoia glyptostroboides are lush. The park is full of vitality everywhere and is a veritable urban forest oxygen bar.

In addition, the park has ingeniously created characteristic areas such as enterprise forest, public servant forest, young pioneer forest, women’s forest, concentric forest, and family forest, supplemented by many beautiful leisure attractions, and has become a voluntary tree planting commemorative park integrating popular science, education and landscape demonstration. All sectors of society can go to the Guangzhou Voluntary Tree Planting Park to plant trees and adopt trees on a voluntary basis.

Citizen voluntary tree planting is free. If you adopt trees, you must pay a symbolic sapling fee. Full text. Open all year round and all day long.
