Haitun Bay Nature Reserve is located in Huidong County, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 1400 hectares. It is the only sea turtle nature reserve on the Asian continent. It is a traditional nesting site for sea turtles and the only nesting site along the northern coast of the South China Sea. The reserve is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
