The Linhai Fengshan scenic area is located at the southern end of the urban area of Changdao. It is named after its vast sea and dense forest. The environment here is elegant and tranquil. The dense shade blocks the sun and it is cool and pleasant. The content of negative oxygen ions in the air is high and it is known as a natural ‘oxygen bar’ area. The Linhai Fengshan scenic area includes two parks, Linhai Park and Fengshan Park. At the southernmost end of Linhai Park is the boundary line between the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea – Changshanwei. Changshanwei is formed by the accumulation of pebbles. It is wide at the beginning and pointed at the end, curved and elegant, resembling a ‘horse’s tail’. Changshanwei divides a blue sea into two worlds, with a clear distinction, making people all sigh at the uncanny workmanship of nature. Fengshan is the highest point of Changdao. Qi Jiguang, a famous general against Japanese pirates in the Ming Dynasty, built a beacon tower in Shandong to prevent the invasion of Japanese pirates at sea, hence the name. Fengshan Park is a natural ‘travel station’ for the north-south migration of migratory birds in China. There are more than 40 species of birds under national first and second-level protection. People also habitually call it Ying Mountain. Because there is a sculpture of an eagle on the top of the mountain. Looking from a distance, it seems to be spreading its wings and about to fly, symbolizing the takeoff of Changdao in the era of reform. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 15:30. Due to weather reasons, the time may change. Specific opening hours are subject to the actual situation on the day.
