Yunlongjian Scenic Area, spanning eight kilometers, is a newly developed, prime location eco-tourism destination in Miyun County. All attractions within Yunlongjian remain untouched by human construction, preserving the original ecological landscape and offering an experiential leisure experience. As you enter Yunlongjian, you can listen to the symphony of nature’s wonders.
Within the scenic area, ponds and waterfalls are interconnected, with hundred-meter cliffs towering on both sides of the canyon, reaching up to the blue sky. The pines and cypresses growing on the cliffs are a unique sight. Climbing the Hero Slope, one finds a landscape of bizarre rocks, waves passing through stones, and stones embracing water, creating a harmonious and interesting scene. The original secondary forest of the secluded forest’s eighteen turns blocks out the sky, with birds singing in the empty mountains, and a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Walking through the forest, one cannot see the blue sky. The area is home to wild plants such as mountain walnuts, mulberries, apricots, peaches, and mountain pepper. The historical and scenic area includes the Old Taoist Cave, Small Taoist Rooms, stone mills, stone grinders, cliff inscriptions, ancient vegetable kilns, and the Ming Great Wall, making visitors feel as if they have entered a paradise, away from the mundane world. Standing on the Cloud Viewing Platform, one can overlook the towns and the Miyun Reservoir; the Great Wall meanders and twists away, stirring the imagination and leaving a lasting impression.
