The Hangzhou Low-Carbon Science and Technology Museum is located at 1888 Jianghan Road, Binjiang District, with a total construction area of 33,656 square meters. The science and technology museum opened on July 18, 2012. To enrich the display methods, the low-carbon science and technology museum is equipped with two special science popularization cinemas, digital stereoscopic giant screen and dome screen, for screening popular science films. The Hangzhou Low-Carbon Science and Technology Museum takes ecology, energy conservation and carbon reduction as its themes, combines professionalism and comprehensiveness, and focuses on professionalism. It is striving to build a comprehensive low-carbon science and technology museum that is ‘domestic and world-class’, and make it the’second classroom’ for teenagers to understand ‘low-carbon economy, low-carbon society and low-carbon city’. The science and technology museum is divided into three exhibition halls. The theme of the foyer is A Real World. The main exhibition hall includes themes such as The World of Carbon, Global Warming, Low-Carbon City, Low-Carbon Life, and Low-Carbon Future. The special exhibition hall has the Exhibition Hall of Light of Science and Technology and Children’s Science and Technology Paradise. Opening hours: closed all day on Monday and Tuesday throughout the year; open from 09:30 to 16:30 on Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year. Closed on Monday and Tuesday (except for national holidays).
