Siming Lake is located in Liangnong Town, Yuyao City, in the north of Siming Mountain. It is more than 10 kilometers away from the urban area. The scenery is beautiful, with blue waves rippling. The lake and mountains complement each other. The lake area is nearly 20 square kilometers. Siming Lake gathers streams, springs, and waterfalls. It has a volume of about 120 million cubic meters and irrigates 300,000 mu of fertile land in the northwest of Yuyao. The fishery resources in the lake are very rich and attract a large number of birds. There are Baizi Bridge, Wildcat Bay, Ding Mountain, etc. in the lake, forming five lake center islands, which are like emeralds inlaid in a bright mirror, adding to the charm of Siming Lake. The Jade Rabbit Island in the center of the lake is the largest island of Siming Lake, covering an area of about 270 mu. Its shape is exactly like a jade rabbit. Especially on a moonlit night, looking from the lakeside, it is like a jade rabbit worshiping the moon. On the island, there are lush pines and emerald bamboos. Orchards and tea gardens are everywhere. The winding mountain paths are pleasant to stroll along. It is simple, quiet, and refreshing. Jade Rabbit Island has now been built into Siming Lake Resort and has become a leisure and vacation place in eastern Zhejiang. Around the lake are also scenic spots such as Wuguilou, the second largest library in eastern Zhejiang, and Baishuichong. Open all year round and open all day.
