Yiwu Ocean World is located within Yiwu Amusement Park. The project officially began construction in September 2007 and was opened to the public on May 1, 2008, as an urban aquarium. With an investment of 60 million RMB, the business area covers 11,000 square meters and contains 2,800 tons of water, displaying more than 1,000 species and over 10,000 individual marine creatures. The main building consists of two floors and features themed exhibition areas such as the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, Coral Sea Life Pavilion, Mermaid Theater, Deep Sea Tunnel Pavilion, Amphibians and Reptiles Pavilion, Zhe Yuan Secret Realm, Polar Sea Animal Pavilion, and the Pet Paradise. The aquarium is fully equipped with supporting facilities and offers over a dozen interactive projects, making it a modern aquarium that integrates science education, appreciation, entertainment, and leisure tourism, primarily focused on exhibiting marine life. Yiwu Ocean World uses rich display methods and vivid environmental settings to recreate the beauty and mystery of the seabed, providing visitors with an easy path to the ocean. With a relaxed and joyful mood, people can get close to and understand the ocean.
Opening hours are from 08:45 to 17:00 all year round. Preferential policies include: Children under 1 meter (excluding) are free of charge; children between 1 meter (including) and 1.4 meters (including) receive a discount; seniors aged 60 years old (including) and above with an ID card or senior citizen card receive a discount; teachers with a 30-year teaching certificate receive a discount; active and retired military personnel with relevant documents receive a discount; college students with a student ID receive a discount.
