Jiulongshan National Forest Park

Jiulongshan National Forest Park is situated on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay, just a few kilometers away from the Jiulongshan tourist area, and adjacent to the ancient town of Zhapu.

Among the attractions within the forest park, the Nanwan Scenic Area is particularly worth visiting. It boasts a wealth of natural and cultural landscapes, named after the ancient Nanwan Cannon. Additionally, visitors can explore the ruins of Meng Jiangnu, the Zhen Nu Pavilion, the Haihong Pavilion, and the departure site of ‘Dream of the Red Chamber’, all related to the classic novel ‘Dream of the Red Chamber’.

Adjacent to the forest park, Tangshan Park, which is by the sea, serves as an ideal summer retreat for tourists. Within Tangshan Park, you can find another famous ancient cannon platform of Zhapu – the Tianfei Palace Cannon Platform.

The park is open year-round from 08:30 to 16:30.
