Tianmu Mountain, located in Xinchang County, Shaoxing City, boasts pleasant scenery and is a rare gem for tourists. Historical records state: “The range extends from Kuocang to Guanling, with layers of peaks and ridges, towering above the sky, presenting a myriad of forms and grandeur, serving as the main mountain of the county.” Tianmu Mountain is considered the principal mountain of Xinchang. It is situated 30 kilometers southeast of the county, composed of groups of mountains such as Boyunjian, Xijian, and Dajian. As the 16th and 60th blessed sites of Taoism, Tianmu Mountain features layered peaks and ridges, a thousand forms and a myriad of states, towering above the sky. The horizontal Tianmu, as described by Li Bai in his famous poem, “Tianmu extends to the sky, surpassing the Five Great Mountains and overshadowing Chicheng. Tiantai is forty-eight thousand feet high, and facing this, it seems to lean towards the southeast.” This poem praises the imposing and horizontal momentum of Tianmu Mountain, making it a historically renowned scenic and cultural mountain.
