Zhili Town is located in the eastern part of Wuxing District, Huzhou City, bordered by Taihu Lake to the north and adjacent to National Highway 318 and the Changhu-Shengxing waterway to the south.
On December 7, 2016, Zhili Town was designated as a pilot area for the third batch of national new urbanization comprehensive pilots. In October 2018, it was selected among the top 100 of the ‘National Comprehensive Strength Top Thousand Towns of 2018’. In October 2019, it was rated as one of the National Comprehensive Strength Top Thousand Towns for the year 2019. On December 16, 2019, it was included in the list of the third batch of Smart Health Elderly Care Demonstration Streets (Townships).
