The Nantong Kite Museum is divided into sections such as the profound kite culture and significant kite contributions. It also includes a kite-making room and a video hall. The museum houses the ‘symphony in the air’ from the folk, and also displays dozens of paintings of traditional culture, as well as kite-making equipment, tools, physical objects, photos, and texts. It is designed for tourists who want to participate in making kites.
Opening hours: Open from 08:30 to 11:30 all year round; open from 13:30 to 17:00 all year round.
Must-see tips: 1. The Nantong Kite Museum was relocated from No. 1 Huancheng West Road in the Workers’ Cultural Palace in 2011. It is now located in the nunnery in Dongcun, North Haoqiao. Don’t go to the wrong address. 2. The Nantong Kite Museum and the Nantong BanYao (Bridge) Kite Art Museum are not the same place.
