The West Bund Museum is located on the West Bund of Xuhui District, Shanghai. The architectural design is undertaken by the architectural firm led by British architect David Chipperfield. It took three years to complete construction. The building area is 25,000 square meters. In addition to the three main exhibition halls responsible for presenting permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions, the internal exhibition space of the museum also includes a special project space ‘Exhibition Hall 0’, and the basement floor composed of a multi-function hall, boxes, and an intelligent manufacturing exhibition hall (including studios, playgrounds and children’s workshops). Opening hours: From January 1st to November 30th, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 17:00; From December 2nd to December 31st, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 17:00; From January 1st to November 30th, Monday, closed all day; From December 2nd to December 31st, Monday, closed all day; December 1st, closed all day. The second-floor exhibition hall is closed on Mondays; the first floor and B1 floor are open from 10:00 to 22:00.
