Tiaozini is located at the northeastern corner of Dongtai City’s coastal area, named for its harbor channels that resemble strips, with a total area of approximately 500,000 mu.
Tiaozini Yellow Sea Ecological Area involves China, North Korea, and South Korea, and boasts one of the world’s largest intertidal wetlands (3 million hectares), making it one of the globally important coastal wetland ecosystems and a key region along the East Asian-Australasian migratory bird route.
The Tiaozini wetland, situated on the southern side of the Yellow Sea Ecological Area, is a large coastal wetland on the western coast of the Pacific and the edge of the Asian continent, as well as a larger continuous distribution of muddy intertidal wetlands within the Yellow Sea Ecological Area.
Opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round.
Preferential policies include: Children aged 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters (inclusive) in height enter for free; minors aged between 6 years old (exclusive) and 18 years old (inclusive) receive discounts. Elderly individuals aged 70 years old (inclusive) and above enter for free with valid identification; those aged between 60 years old (inclusive) and 70 years old (exclusive) receive discounts. Disabled individuals and one accompanying person for severely disabled individuals enter for free. Active-duty military personnel enter for free with proof of identity. Individuals awarded the title of ‘acting bravely for justice’ by the provincial people’s government, those who have received national awards for blood donation, hematopoietic stem cell donation, and lifelong achievement awards for unpaid blood donation volunteer service enter for free with valid identification. Firefighters, both active, retired, and disabled, as well as those from fire rescue academies, enter for free. Members of photography associations enter for free with proof of identity. Veterans enter for free with proof of identity. Students with full-time university undergraduate or lower-level education receive discounts.
