The Suzhou City Wall Museum is located in the hollow part of the southern section of the city wall at the Xiangmen section in Suzhou. The exhibition area of the museum includes two floors with an area of nearly 1,400 square meters. It is divided into six exhibition halls: ‘Preface Hall’, ‘A Thousand Years of City Records’, ‘Stories of City Gates’, ‘Inside and Outside the City’, ‘Memories of the City Wall Top’, and ‘Reappearance of the City Wall’. It showcases the historical changes and archaeological achievements of Suzhou’s city walls, accompanied by many pictures, models, and some physical objects. The Suzhou City Wall Museum strongly supports Suzhou’s status as a famous historical and cultural city in the country. The newly built city tower and city wall at Changmen, Pingmen, and Xiangmen are magnificent and once again show the style of the ancient city. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 16:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 16:30 on National Day.
