The Shamei Building, originally known as the Shamei Bank Building, was constructed in 1918 and is a quintessential example of neo-Renaissance architectural style, featuring classical European design. The exterior sculptures and curves reflect the Baroque style. Despite the passage of time, its appearance remains magnificent and well-preserved, making it a popular backdrop for social media platforms such as Instagram and Xiaohongshu. However, due to construction, the Shamei Building is often closed, making it difficult to access the interior, but it is possible to visit the exterior. It is open for viewing all day, every day from January 1st to December 31st.
