In the reign of Emperor Du Zong of the Southern Song Dynasty, there was a winery here, commonly known as Xicang and also called Xicun. Cai Xiyi moved here from Dongting. Xicang was originally named Bancun. Its name was not prominent. As the west granary of Sima of Dongzhuang, it was renamed Xicang.
