The Nanpu Bridge is a cross-river passage connecting Huangpu District and Pudong New Area within Shanghai City, China. It is above the Huangpu River waterway and is one of the components of the Shanghai Inner Ring Expressway viaduct. The Nanpu Bridge was initially built in 1988. The project was completed on November 19, 1991, and opened to traffic on December 1, 1991. The Nanpu Bridge starts from the Luban Road Interchange in the west, spans the Huangpu River waterway, and extends to the Zhangjiang Interchange in the south. The main bridge is 836 meters long. The bridge deck is a two-way six-lane urban expressway with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The total cost is 820 million yuan. Open all year round and open all day.
