Longyou Lake Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Rugao City’s main urban area, at the core of the new urban area south of the city, and was originally built in 2015. It is a national 3A-level tourist attraction.
The main venue of the 2024 First China • Rugao Longyou Lake Spring Lantern Festival is set in the Pearl Square of Longyou Lake Scenic Area, extending south to Shuangsheng Bridge and north to Huajing Garden. The main venue is divided into four major sections: Spring Greetings in Rugao, Ancient Rhythm and Wonders, Blessings at Longyou, and Fantasy Star River, with a total of 38 themed lantern groups planned.
This event includes a large-scale lantern show, live performances, fireworks waterfalls, dragons in the sky, intangible cultural heritage markets, cultural and creative markets, and food markets, offering extraordinary excitement and creating a sensory experience of surprise, amazement, and delight.
Opening hours are from February 2nd to March 17th, from 16:30 to 22:00.
Preferential policies: Children under 1.4 meters in height (including 1.4 meters) are admitted free of charge; elderly people aged 70 and above (including 70) are admitted free of charge with valid identity documents; people with disabilities are admitted free of charge with valid identity documents; active military personnel of the People’s Republic of China, retired military officers and non-commissioned officers (sergeants), and eligible preferential treatment recipients are admitted free of charge with valid identity documents; fire rescue personnel (including active, retired, disabled fire rescue personnel, fire rescue academy students, and full-time government firefighters) are admitted free of charge with valid identity documents.
