Jimo Ancient City is also known as Zhumao City and Kangwang City. It was built in the Spring and Autumn Period and abandoned in the 16th year of Kaihuang in the Sui Dynasty. It was once the capital of Jiaodong and Kangwang City. It was a famous political, economic and cultural center in the east of the State of Qi and a major town second only to Linzi at that time. Su Qin in “Historical Records” once praised: “Qi has the abundance of Langya and Jimo.


” Jimo Ancient City is majestic, prosperous and flourishing. The core area of the entire ancient city integrates ancient culture, special snacks and exhibition halls to create the concept of a cultural commercial capital. The important project of Jimo Ancient City is to reconstruct public buildings such as county yamen, exhibition halls, Confucian temples, city god temples, temples of the god of wealth, temples of Zhenwu, archway streets (21 archways), and churches to create an overall pattern of “one city, two streets, ten scenes, and thirteen lanes”.
