The former site of Jiaozhou Hotel was built in 1908. To the south of it are the bungalows of the old Jiaozhou Hotel. In the early stage of its completion, this building was the office building of ‘Qingdao News’. In 1912, it became the property of Wilder, a shareholder of Iltis Mountain Mineral Water Factory (Qingdao Mineral Water Factory). Until 1914, it later became Jiaozhou Hotel and has been used for this purpose until now. The main part of the building is a two-story brick-wood structure with semicircular arched doors and windows. Horizontally, it is divided by a transverse waistline. The street-facing facades are decorated with triangular gables respectively. At both ends and in the middle of the gables are decorated with exquisite small square towers. A hexagonal tower is built at the corner, becoming the main axis of the building. The tower is four stories high. A helmet pavilion is built on the top. The roof is covered with red tiles and there are dormer windows of different sizes. The wall is built with red bricks. The top of the arched window and the yellow powder surface inside the gable show the luxury of the building with the color combination. The building body is basically well preserved. The tower at the corner has been demolished and rebuilt. Open all year round, open all day. The exterior is open all day.
