The Li Canal connects to the Central Canal in the north and crosses the Yangtze River and connects to the Jiangnan Canal in the south. It is on the west side of the Lixiahe area. In ancient times, it was called Han Ditch, Cao Canal, and Zhongdu River. It is commonly known as Li River. Because it extends from Huaiyin in the north to Yangzhou in the south, it is also called the ‘Huaiyang Canal’. The northern end starts from the Huai’an water conservancy hub. It passes through Huaiyin District, Huai’an District, Baoying County, Gaoyou City, Jiangdu District and Guangling District of Yangzhou City. It enters the Yangtze River at Liuwei in Hanjiang District of Yangzhou City. It is 168 kilometers long.
