Ganquan Mountain Scenic Area is located in the north of Xuyi County, within the territory of Guantan Town, at an elevation of 60 meters. To the northeast, there lies the Sage Lake and Sage Mountain, and on the western foot of the mountain, there are the remains of Xiangwang City. This area was once the capital of King Xiong Xin of Chu during the late Qin Dynasty.

The mountain is covered with fruit trees and picturesque flowers and plants. On the mountain, there is the Duliang Temple, next to which stands an ancient well with sweet and delicious water, hence the name ‘Ganquan’. Beside the spring, there is a stele inscribed with ‘The First Spring of Huainan’, which is said to be written by a person from the Song Dynasty.

The Duliang Temple was originally built by Shen Ranyue and her disciple Liu Xihai in the late Qing Dynasty, who went out to collect alms. Subsequently, Sage Mountain Temple and Yuwang River Temple were also built, collectively known as ‘Shengxiu San Si’. At its peak, more than 30 monks resided there, attracting countless visitors and tourists.

Opening hours: 07:00-18:00, from January 1st to December 31st.
