From a distance, the ancient-style architectural complex shines with splendor and extraordinary momentum. Upon entering the mountain gate, to the left and right are the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, respectively, with a Hanbaiyu stone-carved Huxian Bridge in the center. Many paintings of flowers, birds, landscapes, and figures adorn the beams, columns, and corridors of the buildings, reflecting a rich cultural taste.
Built against the mountain, Ziyun Temple is majestic and stands as a renowned Taoist destination in Guangdong. The main structures of Ziyun Temple include the Sanqing Hall, Tai Hall, Lingguan Hall, North and South Wing Halls, Bell and Drum Towers, Release Pond, Wo Feng Bridge, Mountain Gate, Sixty Jia Zi Hall, Ancestor Hall, Ancestor Hall, and the Benefactor’s Plaque. Inside the temple, deities such as the Lingguan Protector, Jade Emperor, Sanqing Daozu, Lu Dongbin, Huang Daxian, Dou Mu, Sixty Tai Sui, Guan Sheng Dijun, Bei Di, Li Hanxu, Guanyin, and Tian Hou, among others, are seated in over ninety statues. The sculptures are characterized by a clear Taoist demeanor, lifelike expressions, and images that are both kind and dignified.
