Linhe Ancient City is located in Hejie Town, Hezhou City. It was first built in the sixth year of Yuanding in the Western Han Dynasty (111 BC). It is the only well-preserved historical ancient city among the four major ancient cities in Guangxi. Archaeological discoveries show that there are three city sites in total. The relatively early city site is located in Daya Village and is called the old county seat site. In Hejie Town, there is a Osmanthus Well. It has a history of more than 360 years. Due to the long passage of time, the stone guardrail ring beside the well has been pulled by the water-drawing rope to form traces four or five inches deep, just like a blooming lotus full of fragrance. There used to be an osmanthus tree planted beside the well, hence the name ‘Osmanthus Well’. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the opening situation on that day.
