Longnv Hot Spring is said to have been a sweet spring bestowed by the heavens to the three dragon daughters of Dongting Lake during the Tang Dynasty for drinking and bathing. The water is crystal clear and transparent, with a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius, suitable for both drinking and bathing. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery is enchanting.
There is also a touching and beautiful legend about the place where Longnv Hot Spring is located – Longnv Lake, which has been referred to in local chronicles as the birthplace of the folk tale ‘The Legend of Liu Yi’. The fairy pond covers only 20 acres, surrounded by mountains, with no inlets or outlets, yet the water never dries up in any season, nor overflows during floods, nor withers in droughts.
The facility is open all year round from 09:00 to 23:30. For the hot spring service, there are special features to note:
1. Do not stay in the hot spring for too long at a time; after about 20 minutes, it is advisable to get up and rest before soaking again, and remember to drink plenty of water to replenish fluids.
2. People with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases should not soak in hot springs.
