Jiulongjiang National Forest Park is located within the Daying Forest Farm in Rucheng County, boasting a vast expanse of broadleaf vegetation with a forest coverage rate of 93.62%. The park is divided into five major scenic areas: Jiulong Seeking Immortals, Jiulong Playing Water, Jiulong Strange Rocks, Jiulong Flying Waterfall, and Rehai Hot Springs. The region is known for its clear waters, rich resources, and profound culture, embodying the essence of remarkable mountains, secluded valleys, deep forests, beautiful waters, unique stones, and spiritual springs.
It has been historically praised with phrases such as ‘a thousand miles of misty rain’ and ‘surrounded by green mountains like a jade screen, with the fragrance of plants and flowers in every spring’. The park is characterized by its variable terrain, dense peaks, lush green mountains, and meandering waters, with blooming wildflowers throughout the seasons and a pleasant climate all year round, earning it the nickname ‘Little Kunming’ of Southern Hunan. Within the park, Jiulong Village is home to the Yao ethnic group, whose simple customs and unique traditions form a beautiful cultural landscape. Visitors can sing folk songs, dance Yao dances, and taste Yao cuisine with the local residents. A new addition to the park is the Jiulong Square, which integrates natural elements such as forests, lakes, banks, wooden pavilions, stone streams, artificial mountain waterfalls, and flower beds into the square’s landscape, creating a picturesque scene. The park is open year-round from 09:00 to 17:30. Preferential policies include:
