Known as the backyard garden of the capital and praised as the ‘natural oxygen bar’, Beijing Labagou Primitive Forest Park boasts 70,000 acres of virgin secondary forests with extremely lush vegetation. Nanhou Ridge, standing at over 1700 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Huairou District. In spring, the hillsides are adorned with blooming rhododendrons, while in autumn, the scenery is filled with beautiful red leaves.
The entire scenic area is composed of three main attractions: Nanhou Ridge, Baizhang Cliff, and Glacier, covering a total area of 45 square kilometers with over 90% forest coverage. There are 677 species of plants and more than 300 species of animals. The green tourism trails extend to 60 kilometers. The park features a mysterious virgin forest, rare sea of clouds in the Beijing area, Phoenix Terrace with a wealth of historical relics, summer glaciers unique to the Beijing area, thousand-acre birch forests only seen in Siberia, the towering Baizhang Cliff, the thrilling eighteen-turn road for drivers, the legendary Yishan Pine, and the Longevity Spring, Love Spring, and Pearl Spring with their remarkable effects. The primitive natural scenery is fully displayed. Opening hours: The park is open from 07:30 to 18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays; from 07:30 to 17:30 on Mondays to Fridays. Preferential policies: Children under 1.2 meters (inclusive) enter for free; disabled individuals with a disability certificate enter for free; retired personnel with a retirement certificate enter for free; seniors aged 65 and above with an elderly card enter for free; those aged 60 to 65 (exclusive) with an elderly card enjoy a half-price ticket; full-time primary, middle, and high school students (excluding postgraduates) with a student card enjoy a half-price ticket; dependents with the ‘Beijing City Martyrs’ Dependents, Sacrificed Military Personnel Dependents, and Deceased Military Personnel Dependents Preferential Certificate’ enjoy a half-price ticket; active-duty military personnel with an officer’s certificate and retired military personnel with the ‘Beijing City Veterans’ Preferential Certificate’ enjoy a half-price ticket.
