Huaibei City Museum is located at Museum Road, Xiangshan District, Huaibei City, and is a local comprehensive museum. Constructed in 1976, the new museum building was opened to the public in September 2004, covering an area of over 40 acres with a construction area of 10,670 square meters and a total investment of 35 million yuan. As of May 2019, the museum’s collection has exceeded tens of thousands of cultural relics, with an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters. The exhibition topics include Sui and Tang Dynasty ceramics, Huaibei Han Dynasty stone carvings, historical celebrities of Huaibei, Song Dynasty porcelain, ancient Xiang relics, and the Huaihai Campaign, among others. The museum also houses unearthed cultural relics from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods to the Qin and Han dynasties, reflecting the splendor of Huaibei as a regional political, economic, and cultural center. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 to 17:30 all year round; closed all day on Mondays; and open on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, 08:00 to 17:30. Audio guide rental: voice navigation with a deposit of 100 yuan per unit (along with a valid ID card). Essential tips: 1. It is strictly forbidden to bring flammable, explosive, or controlled weapons into the museum; visitors must undergo security checks before entering. 2. Those who are improperly dressed, peddling various small goods, distributing advertisements, bringing pets, or those with mental illnesses (mild cases must be accompanied by a guardian), and those who are heavily intoxicated will not be admitted. 3. Visitors with infants and toddlers in the museum are requested to ensure quiet visits and maintain the cleanliness of the exhibition halls; preschool children and elementary school students must be accompanied by guardians; elderly people with mobility issues must be accompanied by friends or family; the elderly, those with cardiovascular diseases, and those with mobility issues must be accompanied by someone. 4. Please deposit your bags for free before visiting, and keep valuables with you. 5. Visitors’ beverages must be inspected by staff before being brought into the exhibition hall; please do not eat food in the exhibition area or litter. 6. Smoking or open flames are strictly prohibited inside the museum building; fire-fighting equipment is for emergency use only and should not be touched by visitors in a safe state. 7. Do not touch exposed cultural relics or displayed items. Do not climb or cross barriers to prevent accidents. Do not press against glass display cases to avoid glass breakage, which could damage the collection and injure oneself. 8. Do not fight, run, or make noise in the exhibition hall to affect others’ visits. Visitors are requested to rest on designated seats in the exhibition area. 9. Flash photography is prohibited in the exhibition area.
