Shaoyang Tower is constructed on the Lianhua Mountain within Shaoguan National Forest Park. The tower, facing northwest from its southeast position, offers an excellent view of the city from the tower and vice versa.

The tower’s plan is designed in a shape that transitions from the ‘Ya’ character to a ‘cross’ shape, echoing the spirit of Lianhua Mountain, creating a design that is centralized yet clearly hierarchical. The tower features gradually narrowing eaves on each level, along with protruding flat railings and dynamic winged corners, which together provide a solemn yet rich, generous yet spirited experience.

Shaoyang Tower consists of five floors, standing 42.8 meters tall. The five levels symbolize the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth in traditional Chinese philosophy, representing the essence of the world’s fundamental elements. It is believed that when people gaze over the railing of the tower, they can reflect on the ancient past, observe the prosperity of the present, and imagine the beauty of the future.

The tower is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; it is open from 09:00 to 16:30 on Tuesdays to Sundays.
