Longzhu Lake is a scenic area where mountains, lakes, caves, and villages are interconnected, located in Tianlong Village, Shanluo Town, north of Lucheng County, Guangxi, 25 kilometers from Lucheng County, 10 kilometers from Yulin City, and 25 kilometers from Beiliu City. It is adjacent to the Shuiyueyan Scenic Area in Yulin City and belongs to the branch of the Gou Lou mountain range, stretching from Tang’an Town, Beiliu City to Tianlong Village, Shanluo Town, Lucheng County, all characterized by karst topography, covering an area of 1500 hectares.
Stone mountains rise abruptly, with a gray hue and misty atmosphere, appearing and disappearing like a group of dragons dancing, hence the name ‘Longyan’. Within the scenic area, there is a Longzhu Lake covering more than 20 hectares; around the lake, 12 caves of various sizes have been discovered in the stone mountains; within the stone mountain range, five natural villages have been formed, some of which have been artificially modified to become military strongholds. Surrounded by stone mountains, the lake water is clear and ripples gently, with willows waving by the lake and a solitary pavilion in the middle of the lake. The caves are filled with stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes and rugged rocks. To the south, there is a vast expanse of fields. The entire scenic area integrates lake views harmoniously, creating a scene that seems ‘cut off from the world’. It has been a tourist destination since the Qing Xianfeng years. The area is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00.Longzhu Lake Scenic Area
