The Hejiang Bidao Gallery Scenic Area covers an area of 43 square kilometers. It is a beautiful corridor with unique rural features of Lingnan and historical sites dating back to the Qin and Han dynasties, which was built by implementing the ‘rural revitalization’ project. The profound historical and cultural heritages such as the Lingnan capital, the birthplace of Cantonese, the birthplace of Cantonese culture, and the prosperity of water and land commerce derived from the Xiaohuo Ancient Road and the Tea Boat Ancient Road are presented here. ‘Taking the road as the corridor and the water as the chain’, with the Hejiang River as the main axis, the scenic area is 25 kilometers in total. Combining land and water, the Hejiang Bidao connects areas such as Zhuzhou Peninsula, Taidong Wetland, Lizi Peninsula, and Dazhou Peninsula. The tranquil and natural rural scenery and ancient dwellings, ancient docks, and museums form a picturesque art corridor.
