The Wang’s Memorial Hall in Gaoyou displays various editions of the works of Wang Niansun and his son Wang Yinzhi, as well as numerous monographs and commentaries on the phonology and textual criticism by modern scholars, and paintings and calligraphic works commemorating the Wang father and son. The hall covers an area of over a thousand square meters and is grand in scale. It underwent renovation in the early 1980s and has been open to the public since.

Wang Niansun and Wang Yinzhi are outstanding representatives of the Qian-Jia School and core scholars of the Yangzhou School. They not only systematically organized many documents and classics but also achieved fruitful results in specialized fields such as phonetics, literature, and textual criticism. The representative works of the Wang father and son, including ‘Guangya Shuzheng’, ‘Reading Magazine’, ‘Jingyi Shuwen’, and ‘Jingchuan Shi Ci’, are collectively known as the ‘Four Works of Gaoyou Wang’.

The hall is open all year round from 8:00 to 18:00.
