Baoying Museum is a comprehensive local historical and cultural museum with an exhibition area of 1000 square meters. It has more than 4000 precious cultural relics in its collection, especially ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, and rubbings. The volume and grade of collections rank leading among similar museums in the province. The museum covers an area of 5000 square meters, with a construction area of 3400 square meters. The available exhibition area is 1000 square meters, and the cultural relics warehouse is 200 square meters. It is composed of the main building (four floors) and ancillary buildings. There are exhibition rooms for an overview of Baoying’s history and culture, the Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang dynasties, the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and calligraphy and paintings. The main exhibitions hosted by the museum over the years include butterfly specimen exhibitions, dinosaur fossil exhibitions, marine life exhibitions, folk rubbing exhibitions, and aviation model exhibitions.
